V.I.O., Inc. is a leading developer of professional-grade point-of-view (“POV”) camera systems. The Company, based in Marquette, Michigan, designs small, rugged, wearable and vehicle-mounted cameras that are used to capture high-quality video images within challenging production environments (e.g., vibration, dust, water, physical stress).

V.I.O. Founder and Chief Product Developer, David Ollila, first recognized sports enthusiasts’ need for a durable, wearable video camera shortly after he founded V.I.O.’s predecessor company, Viosport.com, Inc. in 2000. Viosport.com began as an advertising based internet video streaming company that featured short clips of progressive sports content. He created a helmet camera system to capture hands-free video content for the site. Customer demand for the helmet camera led David to transform the company into the leading wearable video innovator.

V.I.O. markets its camera system series-the POV.1, POV.1.5, POV.M and POV.T-primarily to sports enthusiasts (e.g., motor-sport riders, skiers, snowboarders, mountain bikers) and entertainment production companies (e.g., Discovery Channel, MTV, Paramount Pictures) through its Prosumer division and to public safety professionals (e.g., military, homeland security and law enforcement organizations) through its Industrial Solutions division
